CASCA 2018 will feature two free workshops for local teachers in collaboration with its teacher training program Discover the Universe and the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope.

 

Workshop for Elementary and Middle School Teachers – May 23, 2018, from 4pm to 8pm

 

The workshop will focus on the Moon and will include a session on local First Nations knowledge. You will discover hands-on activities to teach concepts related to the Moon (phases, eclipses) and you will leave with new ideas and resources to help you in class.Click here for more information and for registration. 

Full-day Workshop for Secondary School Teachers – May 24, 2018

 

Participants in this workshop will get to meet scientists and learn about some of the latest research in Canada. We will also provide resources and ideas for classroom activities. Click here for more information and for registration.
